Impact on Libraries
This legislation will create a grant program for rural libraries and provide essential funding for maintenance projects, emergency repairs, accessibility improvements, and internet connectivity enhancements. Applicants would be required to have a population of under 10,000 people.
Note: this bill would also require the General Assembly to appropriate funds to this program.
