Impact on Libraries
The bill would implement a Family and Medical Leave Insurance program that would work similarly to the unemployment insurance program: a small amount would be paid into the insurance fund, which employees could then draw upon in times of major illnesses of themselves or family members. The timeframe of eligibility looks to be very similar to FMLA, but this program would be for any employee, not just those working at businesses with 50 or more employees.
